Welsh Steampunk Bazaar

This is a draft listing for Welsh steampunk events, traders, writers, bands or anything else Steampunky. There are a whole bunch of things to add here and if you want to be included let me know.
[N.B if you are not based in Wales you only get included if you have a significant Welsh connection of some kind.]

The longstanding Victorian event founded in 1981 took on a Steampunk theme for the first time in 2015. Perhaps it will become a regular feature:

  1. The Chepstow Steampunks are at it again - another event! This time it's over the whole weekend, 25th & 26th November, and includes the now famous Steampunk Market on the Saturday, 10-4 which also includes the Pen y Darren Prize for the best contraption. Then in the evening there is a Ball - not just any Ball but A Journey To The East is the theme and Sweetchunks and The Curious Sounds as well as Double Measure are playing their hearts out for you. We have cabaret acts the Damara Dancers and Steam Tease as well in a packed evening which starts with a showing of the recently rediscovered coloured version of A Journey To The Moon and other science fiction fantasy films from that era of discovery. Doors open at 7pm, show starts 7.30pm and finishes at 11pm. After an extra hour's lie in on the Sunday morning we start again with a select Fashion Focused Market and a Fashion Parade at noon, followed by the excitement and mechanical mayhem of Tebot Racing, Welsh Imperium style! The market ends at 4pm and we can all have a relaxing and very welcome cup of tea to round off a fun packed weekend. Looking forward to seeing you there :-)
